A Serious Game to Foster a Better Understanding of the GDPR
Motivation
The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) [2] is now active for quite a while and related versions also exists for non-EU countries. However, many users are still not aware of recent changes [1]. In particular, many of the used terms like data subject, data owner and also of the users’ rights are not easily accessible to the users. Therefore, a serious game should be developed to allow users a more easily access to the GDPR.
Goal
- Develop a serious game to foster users’ understanding of the GDPR.
Helpful Knowledge
- Familiarity with the idea of serious games and gamification
- Fundamentals in privacy and data protection
- Familiarity in a programming language or in designing board/card games
- Creativity
